Employee Engagement at Runshaw College

Case study showing how employee engagement was transformed. The culture is now built on an agreed mission and negotiated values to which all staff agree to work.  There is a staff charter that clearly sets out expectations, and the case study includes a detailed list of strategies that were put in place to ensure that the charter is adhered to.  These include deployment of surveys, champions, working parties, consultation meetings, a self-assessment process, greatly enhanced communications, focus groups, mentoring and exit interviews.

As a result, sickness rates and staff turnover figures have dropped and employee satisfaction has measurably increased.  The college has also achieved the Gold Investors in People Award.
