Engage for Success London Region Practitioner Event

Over 50 people attended the London Practitioner event on 3rd December 2013 hosted by M&S, there was a real buzz in the air as people from very different organisations and backgrounds came together to talk about engagement.

Guest speaker Tanith Dodge (HRD for Marks and Spencer) stole the show as she talked passionately about her personal commitment and determination for driving the engagement agenda in M&S, her involvement in the EFS movement and shared with all the ‘Movement to Work’ national youth employment programme. Tanith spoke about the launch of the M&S youth employability scheme ‘Make Your Mark’, a programme run with the Princes Trust which has provided a 4 week employability programme at an M&S store and the positive impact this has had on the store teams engagement and all those involved. Tanith confirmed that M&S will be looking at correlating the link between their programme and engagement in the New Year.

This was then followed by an interactive session on the EFS movement which went through the four enablers, allowed everyone to participate in sharing their best practices and key engagement challenges. Feedback from the event was overwhelmingly positive and it was great to still see the movement attracting new people who want to get involved.
