The culture community has developed impactful tools for defining culture – diagnosing where we are and articulating where we want to go. But when it comes to embedding culture – turning what an organisation knows it needs into the everyday behaviours its people exhibit – we stall. People engage in culture workshops and buy into the journey, but when they leave the seminar or the online course, they fall into the learning–action gap. The forgetting curve sets in. Everyday situations do not trigger the behaviours they have “learnt” about. Posters on the wall don’t make a culture stick. If we want to activate culture at scale, we need new tools. AI behavioural nudges in the flow of work can be a solution.
