The pressing question facing many businesses is what exactly does successful reward and recognition look like, and what tactics and benefits really work in engaging employees at Christmas (and in fact… all year round).
Employee benefits specialist Perkbox recently ran a survey in association with OnePoll with 2000 demographically diverse employees to understand the state of workplace disengagement in the UK. They found that over 30% of employees felt a lack of reward and recognition for their work, and 36% of the UK’s workforce said they’re likely to leave their jobs within one year.
For many organisations, effectiveness over the Christmas period is a good litmus test for overall performance – annual targets must be met and customer contracts renewed. Both, of course, require motivated workforces.
Christmas is an opportunity for businesses to demonstrate genuine appreciation of their people, and show an interest in their wellbeing, on an emotional, physical and financial level. The question many employers face, however, is what exactly does successful reward and recognition look like, and what tactics and benefits really work in engaging employees at Christmas, and all year round.
Engage for Success and UK based employee benefits specialist, Perkbox will be collaborating on the 14th November on an expert webinar focusing on effective strategies for rewarding and incentivising employees at Christmas – and all year round.
