Glassdoor has announced their sixth annual Employees’ Choice Awards, honoring the 50 Best Places to Work in the USA, and new for 2014, the 50 Best Medium-Sized Companies to Work For. Winners were determined by the people who know these companies best — their employees.
The list of 50 is for companies with 1,000 employees or more and can be seen here. Additionally the list of top 50 medium companies with 250 – 999 employees can be found here, this medium companies list is new for 2014.
The winner of the top 50 large companies was Bain & Company, the most common comments from employees were Bain & Company
“Office-centric project staffing: stronger local relationship building, better work life balance”
Bain & Company employees also described the company as
“Great people who really care about both their colleagues and solving client problems”
The winner of the top 50 medium companies was Motley Fool who are in the world of investing and bring great stock ideas to individual investors. Their employees stated:
“The people, the intelligent conversation, and project based culture. You have a lot of freedom to create your own day and vary what you work on as well as who you work with.”
Glassdoors is a job and careers site where employees anonymously dish on the pros and cons of their companies and bosses. Launched in 2008, its ratings of CEOs and workplaces based on collating these reviews are widely reported.
