Engage for Success is committed to raising the profile of employee engagement and shining a light on good practice. The movement is supported by organisations across the UK, involving the public, private and third sectors providing case studies and making the case for action about employee engagement. It enables those involved to share ideas and learn from each other.
Cathy Brown Appointed Executive Director
David MacLeod announced “Cathy has been with the team since our inception in 2011, and we’re delighted that from a strong field of candidates she proved to be the strongest”.
Nita Clarke added, “the movement is committed to the view that there is a better way to work, a better way to enable personal and organisational growth. We have achieved so much over the past few years and I am very excited about what 2015 holds in store for all those involved”.
New Executive Director Cathy said, “I have never before had the pleasure of working with so many energised and driven people. 2015 is going to be a big year for us with a conference planned and a real drive to take our message about building better places to work to a much wider audience and I am delighted to be part of this”.
Engage for Success would like to thank Alexander Mann Solutions for running the rigorous recruitment process with great professionalism, and Geoff Lloyd of Serco (the Chair of the EFS board) for setting up and chairing both 1st and 2nd rounds of interviews.

About Engage for Success
On March 29th, 2011, the Prime Minister gave his backing to a new independent Employee Engagement Task Force during a launch event at 10 Downing Street.
The Task Force is supported by the Department for Business Innovation & Skills because its work supports two of the UK Government’s top priorities – delivering sustainable growth for the UK, and promulgating new approaches to help people improve their wellbeing.
The Task Force has spearheaded a movement that brings together the experience of leading practitioners, the ideas and research of leading academics, and the findings of think tanks, to share learning, ideas and practical guidance on ‘the what, the why and the how’ of employee engagement. It builds on the report ‘Engaging for Success’ (also known as the MacLeod Report), which David MacLeod and Nita Clarke produced in 2009 for the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
A Better Way to Work
Engage for Success is a movement committed to the idea that there is a better way to work, a better way to enable personal growth, organisational growth and ultimately growth for Britain by releasing more of the capability and potential of people at work.
We want to grow awareness about the power and potential of employee engagement. We want to provoke people to think and to learn more about it. And above all we want individuals and organisations to take action, secure in the proof that it works and passionate about its importance.
We provide evidence, case studies and points of view about how employee engagement drives performance and productivity to achieve growth, to make the case for action.
Practical Tools and Ideas
We support people in the workplace with practical tools and ideas they need to take action, and we hope to inspire people to get involved in our movement by facilitating access to likeminded communities, experts and leaders.
The movement is widely supported across the UK, involving the public, private and third sectors in the belief they can learn a lot from each other. Organisations supporting the movement account for more than 2,000,000 people.
