Engage for Success – The Movement Lands in Essex – 26 April 2013

Hosted by Essex County Council, Engage for Success landed in Essex on 26 April 2013. Since Engage for Success got moving back in 2008 and having attended various Engage for Success events in London and beyond over the years, I had a dream (and as Perry Timms – our engaging Master of Ceremonies for the day – said “well, you sure didn’t have a gantt chart!”) – to host an Engage for Success conference in Essex and spread the engaging love! Finally making this event happen really was a dream come true! The conference itself was employee engagement in action, pulled off on zero budget, through the enthusiasm, good will and passion of many friends and colleagues including:-

  • the generous support of sponsors Objective HR and Vine HR plus Anglia Ruskin University providing with their compliments a fabulous conference venue in the heart of Chelmsford
  • a diverse range of speakers who willingly and freely gave their expertise, knowledge and time
  • delegates from all walks of business in Essex and beyond who gave their time and shared their knowledge as well as the willingness to wholeheartedly take part in diverse activities including ‘What gets you out of bed on a Monday morning?’ and getting themselves tied up in knots!
  • and of course, behind every engaging event lies a brilliant event team – big thanks to all my Essex County Council friends who supported me in making it happen and run so smoothly, you know who you are and you are all stars!

Spreading the event beyond Essex and sharing all of its engaging goodies, we’ve posted here the slide decks, the outputs from the wonderful delegates – some great ideas to put into practice – plus an audio slide deck which captures the fun and frolics on the day. Engage and enjoy!
