PROWORK: Achieving a healthy and sustainable return to work

16 December 2020 |4:30 pm - 5:30 pm GMT

Free
An East Midlands Area Network event on achieving a healthy and sustainable return to work with the PROWORK project team

About this Event

East Midlands Engage for Success are pleased to host a session by the PROWORK (PROmoting a sustainable and healthy return to WORK) project team who will be discussing the Mental Health and Productivity Pilot.

Returning to work after long term sickness absence can be difficult for both employee and employer especially during the COVID pandemic. The Mental Health and Productivity Pilot supports employers across the Midlands Engine region to improve the future of workplace mental health and wellbeing. One of its key projects, led by Loughborough University, is testing a three-step online toolkit to support both employees and employers in the return to work process following long term sickness absence during the COVID-19 pandemic. Organisations participating in the trial will either receive access to the online employer and employee toolkits or a detailed performance report on their well being policies and procedures. There is no cost in taking part.

The session is aimed at HR Directors/teams, occupational health providers, large, medium and small enterprises from any sector who are looking for new ways to manage long-term sick leave and return to work, and who are interested in the recent scientific evidence.

In this session Dr Fehmidah Munir will present the evidence behind the new project. Organisations in the East Midlands Engine are eligible to take part in the study and Fehmidah will also talk about how these organisation can get involved in the research.

Join us on 16th December at 16:30-17:30 to learn more.

The event is part of a series of online session run by the Engage for Success East Midlands Area Network. Our deep gratitude goes to our long-standing host and sponsor Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University.
