Radio Show #378: How to Put a Sound, Progressive Wellbeing Strategy into Place

18 January 2021 |5:30 pm GMT

Special Guest: Jane Sunley: Business Author, founder of Purple Cubed and co-founder of Korero.

Following on from Covid-19, there’s been a spike in the wellbeing crisis in the UK. For employers this could be disastrous. Aside from underperformance as a result of work-related ill health, productivity, engagement, collaboration, motivation and creativity will all suffer. People today are concerned about working with employers with aspirational purposes, that will enable their progression and that genuinely care about their people and their wellbeing. Healthy, happy people are more engaged, resilient, creative, productive, collaborative, and motivated, yet according to Mind UK, 54% of employers say they’d like to do more to help, though don’t have the right tools in place. In this conversation, we’ll explore some of the options for putting a sound, progressive wellbeing strategy in place, as well as looking at some of the practical things managers can do to support the wellbeing of their people.

Jane is a best-selling business author and founder employee engagement businesses, Purple Cubed and Korero. She is an authority on creating great places to work and a pragmatic people expert and career guru. A frequent media commentator, she’s a visiting fellow at two UK Universities and features on more than one ‘100 most influential’ listings. She’s also been named as a Woman of the Year and Shine Ambassador of the Year.

Join us as we discuss the practical things managers can do to support the wellbeing of their people.
