Special Guests: Our Core Team and other supporters of the movement

For our last radio show of 2015 we did something a bit special. We gathered 15 people, including some of the core team to spend an hour or so learning to sing a Christmas song in three part harmony and then we performed it on the show.

The radio show has been running for three years now and early on we interviewed Angela Callanan from Sing and Inspire. They offer workplace team building programmes that are built around vocal power including taking groups of people from a handful right up to over 500 and teaching them how to sing in harmony.

When we were thinking about our Christmas Show, after our rather wonderful core team event where we learnt to Morris dance, we all decided that singing for Christmas would be a good plan. We contacted Sing and Inspire and they kindly offered to come and help us with the show.

We were led by Patrick and Shel who have so much talent and enthusiasm for singing and inspiring other people to do the same! Or at least to try to sing as well as them 😉

We got together at the rather prestigious Neville Marriner Rehearsal room at St Martin-in-the-Fields and spent just over an hour learning not one, but two, songs: I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day and Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree

During the show we interviewed Patrick and Shel about the work that they do and how they use it to influence employee engagement. We also got nearly all the participants to give their views about the process and the day.

And we performed both of the songs, finishing with a repeat of ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day’ as the finale!

A great day was had by all.

You can listen to the radio show above and we did a Periscope of the ‘dress rehearsal’ for I Wish It Could Be Christmas Every Day that you can view here.
