A paper which examines the theoretical differences, similarities, strengths, weaknesses and methods adopted in both strategic narrative and existing strategic management theories, making a detailed comparison and breakdown of their uses and the wider context in which they exist. The future of narrative as a fictional story is addressed – with various forms discussed and critiqued including those frameworks for classifying narratives which are likely to be popular in the future. It lastly illustrates an anonymous case study of the various forms of approaches to strategic narrative construction.
