There are currently two active networks within the Midlands.
One focuses on the West Midlands and Greater Birmingham area, one on the East Midlands and Nottingham area.
All groups provide different but complementary areas of focus allowing people to access a wide range of people, ideas and experiences.
The Engage for Success East Midlands Area Network aims to provide opportunities for practitioners, academics, and students to learn from each other, share ideas and thoughts, and connect. The network is run by volunteers and is supported by Nottingham Business School, Nottingham Trent University.
The East Midlands Area Network was launched in November 2019 with a full day conference including a keynote from David MacLeod and guest speakers from John Lewis, Bidfoods, Experian, British Library, Mitchells and Butlers, Scape.
In January 2020, the area network hosted the Engage for Success 2020 Vision: Employee Engagement in the Public Sector with guest speakers from the Institute of Leadership and Management, Local Government Association, Royal Air Force, HRMRC, CIPD, NHS Scotland and Oracle. https://engageforsuccess.org/vision-for-the-sector-zone/events/
Since the pandemic, the East Midlands Area Network have delivered a variety of events and workshops online. Events have included small interactive sessions exploring a specific area topic area, speaking at organisation online events, to hosting live events. See Events/Webinars to watch events that had been recorded.
All events are promoted through the East Midlands Area Network LinkedIn Group. https://www.linkedin.com/in/east-midlands-engaged/
