THINK – Engagement – a TEDx talk by David Coleman

David Coleman is an author, TEDx speaker and performance improvement specialist, with 30 years’ experience in both directing and advising well-known organisations. He has built a reputation for his thought leadership on the popular subject of ‘staff engagement’ and his ability to draw out the potential within teams and individuals alike. His new book ‘The Path to Engagement’ is a step-by-step guide for creating significant uplifts in performance through building highly engaged teams.

David’s history as an original member of UK’s first contact centre in 1982, founder of an international performance improvement consultancy and occupying leadership roles within prime global brands such as HSBC, Standard Life and Aviva, have provided David with a unique knowledge of leadership best practice and staff engagement.

In his recent TEDx talk David has attempted to provide some insight into what creates it and perhaps more importantly what destroys it.

It is my firm view that we all arrive on the planet fully engaged, but if we are not careful, certain events can cause us to withdraw and begin the process of disengagement. This applies equally with relationships at home as well as work. There are however things you can do as an individual or a leader to inspire far greater engagement, both in yourself and others. This talk is about just that. Raising your own awareness of the process of engagement and exploring practical solutions to creating more.
