Over 80 people battled through the wind and torrential rain to attend our Practitioner event in Northern Ireland in October.
The guest speakers were brilliant and saw Cathy Brown, from the Engage for Success core team, speak about the Four Enablers of Engagement, Simon McDowell, International Rugby Referee and Managing Director of Kilwaughter Chemicals shared his unique and winning application of rugby refereeing to the varied employee engagement challenges at his company. Anne Wilsdon, Her Majesty’s Passport Office, spoke about the various engagement initiatives at her organisation, sharing both the challenges and successes and Peter Wallace, Capita HR Solutions and our host for the event, shared the Capita Belfast engagement experience, providing us with a description of their engagement story over the last five years.
This was followed by an interactive session on the EfS Northern Ireland movement and thanks to all the volunteers there is now a very clear plan on how to move EfS forward in the area and EfS Northern Ireland now has a steering group.
