ACAS Update: New Staff Absence Guidance 

ACAS has a revised guidance to support businesses with how to manage and record staff absence. The updated guidelines cover the following key areas:

  • Checking holiday entitlement and sick pay
  • Fit notes and proof of sickness
  • Time of for dependants/parents
  • Returning to work after absence
  • Creating absence policies
  • Recording and reducing sickness absence
  • Absence trigger points
